Welcome
Hi, I'm Talia. I'm a high school student living in Long Island, NY. I think of myself as an average teenage girl who loves soccer, baking, art, TV, writing, the gym, hanging out with my friends and family, and pretty much everything that involves being active. However, my unusually severe tree nut allergy tends to make me atypical and more anxious than most teens. Life isn't always easy, but I have worked hard over the last few years to shift my perspective on it all. I have come to see that the tough things we face and overcome make us better people. My allergies and other medical conditions have made me more grateful and determined to live life in a way that feels right for me. This blog is a reflection of my passions, my challenges, and my desire to share who I am so that someone else might feel inspired to do the same. Thank you for visiting my site!

RECIPE: OATMEAL RAISIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
In one bowl, combined 1 cup softened butter with 1 1/2 cups brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
Next add in and combine 2 eggs and 1 tbsp vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups oats, 1 tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp baking soda and slowly add to the other mixture.
Before the mixtures are completely combined, fold in 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1 1/2 cups raisins.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees on a greased cookie sheet leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. *cookies should be slightly under baked, but not too gooey*
